JADA'S WEDDING ON SECOND HALF OF MARCH
Our beautiful Jada started with the heat so we have the countdown for her wedding. Soon we will announce her beautiful husband :) If everything will be ok, we expect puppies in May!

LUNAR LEADERS ARE BORN!
The moon’s cycle consists of 8 key phases, from new moon to full moon and back again. It’s no coincidence that our 8 Lunar Leaders have chosen to greet the world on exactly this number! Additionally, this is the 12th litter from Neomele Kennel, and much like the completes 12 full lunar cycles in a year, it seems the stars have aligned perfectly.
Nothing here is accidental!

We have attended dog shows in Celje with Khal and Khaleesi. Even we did not catch last point for Khal's Grand championship, we are proud that our Khal was "BEST OF BREED" (among 17 Rhodesian Ridgebacks) under honorable judge: Zhaveli Drin. Khal was handled by Martina Vuk.

Our plan was to open the candidature in 2024 so we may try to finish it in 2025, and we did it!
In a really strong competition of 7+ dogs in the class, Khal Drogo got all days Excellent, under honorable judge Vlastislav Vojtek (SK) he gained r.CAC and under Rony Doedijns (NL) he was placed on the 3rd place.

After EDS and before upcoming shows in December and also a day after his second birthday it was nice opportunity to break “the pause” and to gain new Grand championship with lovely Khal in Grude (Bosnia and Herzegovina).
KEI KOMAINU NEOMELE - PASSED BREEDING EXAM
Kei Komainu Neomele - Spencer has passed successfully the breeding exam and got his breeding licence.
Soon all genetic tests and xray will be also done, and after age of 24 months, Spencer will be available for mating for selected females.

4 RIVERS WINNER INTERNATIONAL SHOWS
While our youngsters Khal and Khaleesi are waiting the age of 2 years so they may confirm their Croatian championships which they gained already long time ago, it was a good opportunity for our lovely Jada to eneter the ring after long time as we do not show her much because she is not really happy in the ring. We try from time to time, if she will maybe start to find some excitement at dogshows :) but almost every time she is totally bored and does not want to cooperate. She is happiest when she is in her box and watching people passing by, then to be stacked in front of judges.
But this is how it is. Some dogs show off, and some not really :)

Khal gained the placement in TOP 4 within his class, and on speciality he ended on second place with r.CAC. At the age of six months Khal had a dogshow debut and won the title "Best puppy" with the following critique:
6 months and showing lovely outline. From nose to the end of the tail everything in good combination with the typical head.
Beautiful feet, correct ridge, nice colour. Moving very easy and sound. I hope that this quality stays to his old age.
And now....at the age of 19 months we are over the moon to share that our “Khal Drogo Komainu Neomele”, has won the “BEST OF BREED” again and was r.BEST IN GROUP, this time out of 19 Rhodesian Ridgebacks. It's such an honour to see all our hard work and dedication pay off in such a wonderful way and especially to feel his lively joy while we are cooperating in the ring as a team.
Our blondie Khaleesi got both days VG as she was not really cooperating with judges :P but she rocked in the BIS competition with Khal and we ended as BEST COUPLE III.
Thanks to everyone who has supported us on this journey and congrats to all winners and organizers of this really nice organized show!

Khal shined in the BEST IN SHOW competition after he gained BEST OF BREED title both days!
On a first day he won FCI6 group and was placed within 10 Best dogs of complete show (more than 600 dog entered).
On a second day, he also had a placement in the group and won 3rd place.
What amazing weekend for our crazy boy :).
What made us happy is that the judge Mrs. Wieslawa Misterka was totally in love with Khaleesi's coat colour and recognized it as standard spectre and congratulated us for our effort for preserving light wheatens. From puppy that I bought because I wanted Mohaget's Mr. Masai’s son and which I could not keep due to complicated circumstances at home, to the Sire of our last Komainu Neomele litter (after which we kept our Khal Drogo and Khaleesi) to enter the main ring with Themba was absolutely divine experience as he was cooperating like we were every day together for all these years even it was raining like hell.
These days in Vitez made me even more in love with this beautiful dog because his temperament is really amazing.
He is so nice toward all dogs and people.
As always, the hospitality was super as it was nice to meet all our dear friends from dog world, especially Bart van Doorn and his beautiful daughter

KHAL DROGO IS THE 5th BEST JUNIOR IN THE WORLD
What a weekend behind us. Khal Drogo and Khaleesi attended World Dog Show. 185 Rhodesian Ridgebacks from all over the world have entered the showground and it was amazing to see so many dogs in one day. Khal competed in a strong junior class of total 13 young males and ended on the fifth place under honorable judge Jose Homem de Mello from Portugal. So....
Khal is one of the TOP 5 young Ridgebacks in the world.
Khaleesi was judged by the German judge: Jochen H. Eberhardt in junior class with other 24 young girls and ended with VG as she was not happy when judge visited her.
There was lot of very goods and we are thrilled that our boy achieved this amazing result and made us proud.
Congratulation to all winners!

We are over the moon!
It was a smal marathon for our co-owned boy Khal (12 months) who attended only few shows as puppy and we did not work much except he attended 2 ring trainings. After Zagreb winter classic we continued with Bosnia and Herzegovina.
These few shows in the row and our trip ended with great reaults but most of all with our special bond what is absolutely the most important of all.
We had so much fun, plenty of treats and čevapčići (what his other mum does not allow), we slept in the show box, so his time spent with me was
Las Vegas .
We cannot believe that in only few days he became really promising show dog and I am thrilled about our upcoming cooperation
because this boy has a great attitude in the ring.
Congrats to all winners and organizers for a really nice hospitality and great dogshow on a beautiful showground and big to all judges that recognized the quality of Khal.

This weekend was extraordinary display of passion where Neomele Team proudly presented two remarkable boys from their latest Komainu litter.
With Natalia and Urska at the helm, debut in the show ring was super and they gained 2 x VP2 with their boys!
We are filled with pride and gratitude for the girls who have shown tremendous love, care,
and dedication towards their new furry family members and they effortlessly demonstrated the immense potential they possess as a team.
They shined through in every step they took in the show ring and Natalia and Urska's commitment and unwavering support have set the foundation for a bright future ahead and they have proven that their journey together holds great promise.
Our Maddox joined us on Saturday to try to catch BOB title fot GrandCh. It was close but not enough.
With CAC and CACIB in Champion class he endede as a BEST MALE and BOS!
Jada entered the intermedia class and gained 2xr.CAC and 1VG and all 3 judges said that she needs more time.
We know that, but we deciced to try adult classes even she is so young.

The judge was completely in love with Khal and gave him beautiful critique.
6 months and showing lovely outline. From nose to the end of the tail everything in good combination with the typical head.
Beautiful feet, correct ridge, nice colour. Moving very easy and sound. I hope that this quality stays to his old age.
KHALEESI KOMAINU NEOMELE was on this show just for a training and it seems the judge did not like her because he gave her only "promising" with comment that she would love her to be stronger, just as our JAMAL JAMBO NEOMELE who gained "very good" because he was everythere and doing everything expect show himself because his playfulness :) Crazy boy!
But these shows for youngsters are show to bring them into showing and the most important is that they have a good experience and no stress.
We would love to congratulate to all owners - members of our Neomele family for effort and will, and yes!

The ring is a sacred space that we have created, a universe that exists solely for us, where our connection is amplified. Within the ring, there are no distractions or interference from Bebe, Maja's other male companion. It is a place where Maddie and Maja can fully immerse themselves in each other's presence, and their bond thrives in this environment.
Growing up together as a team, they have forged an unbreakable connection that they are truly blessed to have. Maddie's sweet temperament and character are unparalleled, making him an incredible Ridgeback . His mind is pure and untainted, free from any negative thoughts. In his innocence, he approaches every task with unwavering enthusiasm and a strong desire to work alongside Maja.

Our team recently attended a national dog show CAC Dugo selo where Jada and Tango along with the smallest members Khal Drogo and Khaleesi, participatedsolely for training purposes.
The babies performed remarkably well in the ring, with Khal standing out as he made his debut appearance at the show.
It was a hot sunny day so we did not stay with babies in the "Best in show" competition, but we are happy with results of our team.

Without keeping Ada after Tara and Ben, the Neomele Kennel might have never come to be.
Ada, our first female puppy, passed away just before her 15th birthday, leaving behind memories of her serene demeanor and admirable character.
She remained a constant presence among our kennel's multiple generations of puppies, serving as a kind spirit to all of our dogs.
Ada was a successful show dog, achieving excellent results at club and specialty shows, and earning the title of the best breed bitch in Croatia.
Her accomplishments were a testament to her exceptional nature, but more importantly, Ada's legacy will be remembered for the beauty and grace that she brought to our lives.
We all will miss her!

This time, we showed our 4 lovely dogs.
Baby Khaleesi made her debut, while Tango and Jada participated in ring for new training and earned new points towards their Croatian Junior championship. Additionally, Harra returned to the ring after the COVID-19 era and her litter and won CAC & BOB.
We are very happy and satisfied with how small Khaleesi performed in her first dogshow. She behaved like a pro on the showground.
Jada and Tango are getting better and better in the ring, so we stayed for the "Best in show" competition even though we didn't expect anything.
It was important for the young ones to enter the ring again and gain more experience.
Unexpectedly and without any preparation, we entered the competition for the Best breeding group and won second place.
Nataša, Tango's owner, entered the ring for the first time and did an excellent job with her part of the presentation,
so we all have reason to celebrate together.

IKIMBA kennel in Finland. This litter is a result of insemination with Maddoxes frozen semen. Mum Mirkuu ande babies are great! We are excited and happy and we are looking forward to follow these beautiful babies. |

We are happy that we have participated at the first Rhodesian Ridgeback Virtual Global Gathering with participants from over 20 countries worldwide.
There have been many presentations of RR clubs, topics like DS (dermoid sinus) and colour genetics,
videos about the 21st century hunting Ridgebacks and much more.
It is very important for breeders to be up to date with lastest scientific researches in genetics which are useful to improve

The puppies have opened their eyes and started to react on sounds, so we have built up small Las Vegas so they can start to socialize.
Firstly they have been suprised with new surrounding and a bit careful, but in few days they will start to play like crazy with all these toys :)

There are 2 bitches and 5 males in the litter.
The average weight of the babies was 550 grams.
All puppies are correct (show quality), they are strong and healthy, have beautiful long correct ridges and all in the breed standard.
We are extremely happy and satisfied with the quality of the litter and are looking forward to the upcoming days to enjoy watching their development.
There are 2 bitches and 5 males in the litter.

Jada was placed on 4th place with “excellent” on Friday and Saturday at judges Ligita Zake (LV) & Malgorzata Wieremiejczyk Wierzchowska (PL).
Critiques were nice, but both judges said that ”she needs more time to mature”.
On Sunday, Jada was placed 1st under judge Vlastislav Vojtek (SK).
Unfortunately the judge gave all girls ”very good” because they did not cooperate for showing the teeth….
BUT!
The placement is not important at this moment.
It was a positive experience what we have been chasing for and the mission is accomplished!

At the age of 5 years and 4 months we took a free stack photo of our Maddox.
Maddox is in super shape and condition even he is not very active at the dogshows at the moment.
With 14 FCI championships and 3 champion candidatures, and a whole buch of titles he does not need to be showed so often any more.
He is enjoying his dog life on the island.

It was a really nice weekend in Zadar.
I am happy that I have met all my dear RR friends and that we spent nice moments together.
This was our 2nd dogshow this year and I am happy that we finished what we have started 2 years ago but Covid did not let us to show...
After his first day where he gained 3rd place in strong Champion class, on a 2nd day, Maddox was BEST OF THE BREED (within 24 Ridgebacks from France, Slovakia, Switzerland, Croatia, Germany, Hungary etc.) and
r. BEST IN FCI6 GROUP on the Best in show competition!
With CAC title he gained today, he became the new GRAND Champion of Croatia and I am proud to say that this is his 12th adult FCI Championship :)!

We are working also on Gunshot sensitivity!
Turn the sound on :), our puppies do not react at all.
At this stage, we shoot while they are eating. Next level is to shot when they will not be focused on food. Importance of this method is to get puppies learned on this sound so they will never be stressed while shootings or fireworks and similar pyrotechnic situations.

Sometimes we wish we are our puppies...
For us breeding is not having puppies in the box....every day they have some new adventures for them!
After they met the neon tube, we arranged them much more....Obstacle polygon is fun! It helps them to develop motor skills and thinking.
Who said that the old tire should end in the garbage? Or that old yogurt bottles are useless after there is no yogurt inside? :)

As we had a really nice and warm sunny day we decided to open the door and let the puppies out into a big world. They have explored surroundings little and then they went back to amazing milk-bar :).

Socialization mode ON!
At the age of 3 weeks we exposed our puppies to the first new sounds, objects, toys and materials. After a short study of hanging objects, the puppies realized they were actually in Las Vegas and played to exhaustion. They develop very nicely, are more and more agile and stable and they communicate more with each other.

Our sweet babies are 3 weeks old. As every puppy has 2 tits, we have serious "Milk bar" here. Puppies are strong and healthy and we love how they are developing. They started to communicate and interact and got their first toys.
We are proud to introduce you all 5 miracles (from left to right).
Miss White (Livernose girl), Mr.Green, Miss Mangenta, Miss Red and Mis Yellow.

R.I.P. Ch SHABABU TARA
At 22:30 our dear Shababu Tara at the age of 13 left us and went over the rainbow.
Tara was our first Ridgeback and broad bitch at the NEOMELE kennel. She traveled with Lela, worked, hiked, and spent amazing moments and experiences together.
Tara was a mum of 20 beautiful puppies (2 litters with famous stud dog Tusani Big Ben).
She was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-grandmother to many generations with famous son Berry Neomele the most winning Neomele dog, then Ada Neomele, Chery Neomele and all their offspring. After Tara's offsprings, 3 new Ridgeback kennels were registered in Croatia.
Tara was Lela's inspiration, her best friend and greatest life teacher.
To all who knew her, she was (like all her dogs), almost like human.
Before she decided to go, she was waiting Lela to finish all her farm duties and then she left this world in Lela's lap, totally quiet and surrounded with love.
Lela has been saying goodbye to her all week, ever since the vet suggested last Saturday that she brings her to sleep.
Lela's choice was to leave Tara at home surrounded by her family Ada, Bella, Elvis and Fila.
She wanted Tara to be at the place she loved and to be and that her soul takes decision when she would leave this world. Tara had the tear in her eye at the moment she left them.
And then people say, they are just animals ...
They are beings who are much more compassionate, who have soul, emotions, and unconditional love than any human being.
THANK YOU TARA FOR ALL MAGIC YOU BROUGHT IN OUR LIVES!
